KEA Launches Craft Series Brand
KEA has launched its new
KEA Craft Series range of brand new motorhomes. Specifically designed for the retail market, the range currently features two
new motorhome designs, with several more models planned for 2012.
The
KEA Inspiration is the first KEA motorhome to be built with automatic transmission. Built on a
Fiat Ducato, the 7.3 metre 4 berth motorhome includes full oven, 175L fridge/freezer, slide-out pantry, two entertaining areas and smart battery management system. Specifically designed for those that want to travel in comfort for extended periods, the Inspiration offers excellent storage and, like all KEA vehicles, it includes many
environmentally friendly features such as solar panels and cabinetry constructed from renewable plantation grown timber. “Traditionally KEA vehicles have been designed and built with the
rental market in mind”, says KEA’s National Vehicle Sales Manager Steve Lane. “This has led us to produce incredibly reliable, durable vehicles specifically designed to withstand lots of driving and wear and tear. The
KEA Craft range has allowed us to take a new direction with our vehicle design. We’ve kept the KEA quality and durability, but introduced more features which meet the needs of the motorhome owner who will travel in a vehicle for longer periods and maybe even live in it.”
The 6.2 metre
KEA Origin is based on KEA’s original 6 metre 4 berth motorhome of 2000-2004. With swivel driver and passenger seats, walk-through internal access to the driver’s cabin, 4 seat belts and KEA’s trademark panoramic tinted windows, the Origin’s compact size means it’s easy to drive and park while offering a versatile space for couples or families. Steve Lane says “The original KEA floorplan proved so popular that we’re still frequently asked about these today, and as trade-ins these motorhomes still fetch a really good price. For this reason we’re listening to the market and bringing back this old favourite with a fresh modern twist.”
“The
KEA Craft Series allows us to offer a range of motorhomes with all the bells and whistles of an imported vehicle, with the security of a
nationwide support network and comprehensive
warranty,” says Steve Lane. “We are excited about the new direction for KEA’s
manufacturing and
vehicle sales.”
The introduction of the
KEA Craft Series brand is part of an overall brand refinement for KEA which will see further product lines introduced in the near future.
